As part of the IASON+ Project – Invasive Alien Species Observatory and Network Development for the Assessment of Climate Change Impacts and Contextual Ecosystem Services Evaluation in Black Sea Deltaic Protected Areas, funded by the European Union through the Interreg VI-B NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme (project code BSB 00174), the fourth stakeholder meeting was organized on September 16, 2025, by partner (PP 2) the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve Authority (DDBRA) – Romania.

Active public involvement is important for the collection, standardization, and management of high-quality and up-to-date information on Ecosystem Services (ES). The project will include four meetings with identified stakeholder groups, namely: local authorities, farmers/fishers, environmental organizations, and representatives from the tourism sector.

The purpose of these meetings is to gather information on the severity of the impact of specific groups of Invasive Alien Species (IAS – such as terrestrial plants and fish) on ES in the deltaic areas targeted by the project, which, in turn, affects the livelihoods of stakeholders.
